Now not everyone is born a cook, or ever will be one who ends up liking to cook. Some learn later in life, some grow up doing it, some rather have someone else do it. Well, which ever one you happen to be it’s cool. I know for me I learned growing up. I remember the time my dad told me one day when I was young that since I wasn’t doing anything, that I should go in the kitchen watch what my mom was doing so I can learn how to cook….I did, even though I already knew some things; being the eldest of 5 I learned how to use a stove young, however I learned how to cook rice that day. Cooking became something that was one of those things that I knew I should learn for myself if I ever wanted to make myself something more than sandwiches, Kraft Dinner, hot dogs, ravioli, beefaroni, eggs or french fries and fish sticks.
I love to bake and I like to cook most of the time, and there are days when I am inspired to cook up a whole heap of food (a wol ‘eap a food). Being a mom of 4, I usually cook a fresh meal everyday, it tends to become a chore and frustrating trying to come up with fresh ideas all the time. The best days are when I, myself, am feeling really hungry and then I throw down something I’m craving for or lately I’ve been on this cooking streak where my family has been like “mmmm mom mmm oh wow this is soooo good…” 🙂 Now, that inspires me. Although, I definitely don’t mind ordering out every now and then or going on dinner dates; choices being Sushi, Thai, Toppers Pizza (best pizza in the world) or…just going to my mom’s to eat out of her pots, yes, kids, husband and all I go to feed lol
I thought I would do a cooking video during one of those days I was having yesterday, just wanting to cook a nice big yummy meal with some of my favs. I explain everything for those who maybe don’t cook often or those that don’t cook this kind of food and want to try something different to cook.
